QUALITY OF LIFE

After the material level has been satisfied, people become more and more interested about the quality of life. Different social environments and cultural backgrounds may affect how we understand good life.

We are in situation, where we can't anymore postpone to take the step of learning responsible sustainable culture.

We need to transform our desire for everlasting growth and expansion to necessity of the ecosocial culture.

On this course we take a short look to the basic values of education in the Curricula of the Basic Education in Finland: humanity, culture, equality and democracy as well as respecting the human rights as a world citizen to get good life.

We have discussions, workshops, nature walks and visits in order to increase knowledge, develop our personality and increasing own resources, creating friendships and gaining joy with creativity and play. Searching for beauty. goodness and truth we try to find a way, how to put these values into action also in own school with the pupils.

Teachers have a great influence in their job, and that's why a teacher, who feels joy about life long learning can also make his/her pupils to feel joy in their learning, as is highlighted in the Finnish curriculum.
