HOW ARE YOU, TEACHER?

Teachers are the basic links in school education. Today there are increasing demands of the job. Also Covid-19 has given new issues to school world. Almost everyone feel overworked. So, is the stress making or breaking the teacher?

How to get balance between work related demands with stress and burnout, and personal wellness remaining healthy and happy?

Teachers want and need four things when they focus on joy in school and private life:

- to be competent and good what they do

-autonomy and freedom at job

-connection to others

-understanding goodness, truth and beauty

Taking a break, and having meaningful days of learning with other European teachers, can increase your own mental and physical resources. If teacher is happy, it reflects to the pupils, too, and encourages also the youth to belong to own community and play an active role in it.

This course supports increasing internationalization and the qualification of the school staff .

In this session we focus on managing stress in order to change from chaos to coherence, finding and expressing "Genius Loci" (the spirit of a place), and have a short view to Finnish curriculum, especially teachers role in it as well as get to know Finnish culture.

Welcome to participate our course!
